March is Here!!!!

Yeah! Another month for "The Soup King"!!!!!! Things have been moving along very nicely over the last month.....March should bring us the luck if the Irish!!! We will have to talk to "The Soup King" about a festive soup for this month. The Seafood Gumbo is going to become a new member of our menu. So many of our guests enjoy it that we just can't make enough!!!! Italian Wedding Soup is also a big hit this week. It also sounds like the Texas Chili will be making a claim for a long term spot on the menu as well. Soups just keep bubbling and bubbling.......it is very exciting. The cold weather is keeping us on our toes...

"Muscle Guy" is working and working as usual..."Fire Chick" is still on track for now, the new girl is, well, she is hanging out for now. "Grammy" is working the kitchen hard and finally leaving at night instead of working open to close everyday.....(everyone needs a break). The "Little Ones" are back and in the swing of things again. We had a blast at Disney over the weekend!!! We saw my family and it was awesome!!!!! My sister and her two kids are in for the week......I wish I could have spent the whole week with them. April can't come fast enough...another visit home!

"The Soup King" is working hard on new things(and not just soups!!). The second store should be up and running in about three months. The "Little Ones" are a little worried because they want to go home for the summer. The second store might make our visit a little shorter than planned!

I hate to leave any negative comments, since I haven't had the soup yet, but I stopped by the other day to get a menu. I was thinking of taking mom there for lunch one day. Oh by the way I walked in and it smelled amazing, it made me want to try every soup you had. Ok for the bad part, I grabbed a menu and went back to my car to look it over, I think in these rough times that the prices are a little pricey. Don't know if you run specials, have coupons, or have a website yet, but unfortunately for us less fortunate we won't be trying your establishment yet, but hopefully by the smell of your place you will be around a long time for us to come in and try it.

Susie, sorry to hear that the pricing was a bit high for you. As we try to stress to all of our guests, everything is made from scratch. We do not use any pre-packaged bases or pre-made broth. This is more expensive but helps us to but a better quality product out there for you. We do have a coupon in the yellow pages that offers a buy one get one of equal or lesser value free. We are also working on other ideas, we are trying to reach everyone as best we can. Remeber we are new and are still trying to find the best way for everyone. We thank you for your comments. Good or bad if we don't have feedback we can't improve anything. Hopefully as time goes on the financial stress that we all feel will be part of the the past. Remember, we offer free samples too!
